My understanding is the Archos 5 (last year model) and the N900 have the same exact chipset. I have the Archos 5 and it plays 720p. Not sure what good it is on a 3.5" device, but it plays on the Archos 5 very smoothly (4.8" screen). The Archos 5 has component output for home theater, so I can understand having it on that.

N900 has composite out.
