Sorry for not responding to your comment. I didn't see it till just now. I am trying to express my reaction when I suddenly find that this supposed good deal turns out to be a bad deal. Buying a phone/tablet that will turn into an expensive paperweight if a defect becomes apparent after you have it for more than a week? It sounds like a very good deal for Nokia and a very bad deal for any consumer. I was naively pleased when I received this offer, because I thought that Nokia was actually making the N900 more affordable for some of us. I changed my plans and decided to buy an N900. I assumed there would be a decent warranty, of course. Then to find out that there is not a decent warranty was very disillusioning. I of course changed my plans.
