You can probably link up to an SSL based VPN using OpenVPN, which vpnc (can get off the devel repositories) also supports. If you get the vpnc-gui, it's all pretty plug and play type stuff, very nice.
Truly Awesome. I know there is a port of the Juniper Network Connect app that is pushed when you log into the box the first time as well and it works fine here on my Ubuntu box, so I am guessing I can phenagle it to work on the N900 as well.

I totally agree with all the people who say this is for techies - I love the Fluke meter comment, classic.
