this could be a bit confusing for users if an application (like text entry does use it)
for example i want the browser to use that key to go back instead of the SHIFT-Backspace...

CTRL-Backspace does bring up the task screen.

The phone app is pretty decent if you ask me
i only have 1 request:
If i have a number that is not in the contacts but is in the call list, i have an option to sms. But a known contact/telephone number that is in the call list i suddenly don't have the option to sms it. I really have to open the contact card and then press sms.
