Do some damn research, I realize that may involve some actual effort on your part - but hey try it this once - you might like it.
lol i have done my research hence why i am talking to you. My contract was up in september but have been looking into new phones since and found the N900. i may only have a few posts but i have been following this forum for months soaking up as much about the N900 as pos. I like the phone even with its limitations and feel it has LOADS of potential and want one.

i simply feel that for nokia to say this is step 4 of 5, this isnt for everyone but then sell it as if it is the complete package is laughable. No i dont expect them to openly say hey buy my phone but it cant do x y and z if you need these go to a competitor.

my point was that people returning the phone would be bad for maemo5. step 4 of 5 my *** its being sold as a smartphone. i also think there are millions of people in the world that buy phones based on 1 using the phone in store and 2 the salesperson, otherwise why have a salesperson at all. if theses millions of people then decide to take it back (ever so slight exaggeration ) oh great that looks brilliant doesnt it.

Maemo6 is what Nokia want for the public correct. Well if the public think Maemo5 is crap why would they think about Maemo6. the N97 automatically gave the N900 a bad name without people even knowing its completely different. If the public dont like it then less commercial apps, open source i no but i am assuming nokia would like some commercial apps to go to the platform even if techies dont give a crap. less commercial apps even less interest by the public.

Great phone but its being missold
