I've run into a curious problem with some photos I took with my N900 yesterday. To begin with I corrupted the file system on my memory card restoring some music tracks I deleted yesterday. I attached the N900 in Mass Storage mode, and I stupidly disconnected the N900 from the cable w/o unmounting the volumes on the PC. After that incident I found my Music directory had vanished, but the file space wasn't free up.
Anyways on the way home from work, I snapped a few photos which I saved on the memory card. I could view them, tag then, etc. w/o any problems. After reaching home, I tried to fix the file system on the memory card and failed. So I determined I had to reformat. So I copied off the DCIM directory off the memory card to my PC. I reformatted the memory card, and recopied the DCIM directory and recopied all of my Music again.
Fast forward to now... I tried to view the photos I took last night in the Photos app, but they don't show up in the All picture view. I can see the files in the File Manager. When I tried to open one of the photos in File Manager, it shows as a blank (black) picture in the Photo app. I took a new photo today and saved it on the memory card. That new photo is showing in the Photo app. I can view the old photos on my PC just fine. And I can even see thumprints of the old photos in the File Manager, yet nothing in the Photo app.
What's going on?
