To me, this type of comparison is another sign that we won't ever see another NIT. The N770,N800,N810 were to prototype the 'smart' in the smart-phone concept and how community development could be a cheap model. In the future Maemo will most likely only exist on smartphones with screensizes primarily designed to support the phone-side (read: smaller) over the tablet-side (read N810-size, 5 inches, 7 inches etc).

I really do wish Nokia good luck with this effort but it also means that I won't be looking at Nokia in the future for tablet products.

I would love something like my SmartQ7 with Nokia's build quality running Maemo (actually I'm using it right now typing this and a 7 inch tablet is indeed sweeet).
I think the best of both worlds is a N900 sized device that can doc in a large frame that just provides power and a larger touch screen. If the N900 had a HDMI out and USB host (on the same size) we would be there already.
