I bought the N800 but returned it due to "Network Problem" issues. That is, 90% of the time I couldn't get it to load web pages or update the application catalog. I too am now looking at the Archos 704 Wifi. The 604 and 704 are both, from Archos's point of view, completely closed systems. No method is offered for adding third party applications or utilities. OTOH, they both run Linux so I would assume that third party stuff will start to show up if it has not already. I have not yet found a good 604/704 wifi forum or any third party or open source offerings for either the 604 or 704 wifi. Please let me know if you do.
