Got my phone yesterday, it is absolutely fantastic.
I couldn't believe how small it is! Really cute!

I was disappointed, but not surprised that I couldn't watch BBC iPlayer using the browser, very slow and jerky. Maybe that will get better with the v10 of flash, that would be awesome!

Bad Points first:

1) Email app varies from really snappy to laggy (2 minutes to respond). I am wondering whether this is specific to imap, as I've seen a couple of complaints about it but 99% seem very happy with it. (or perhaps wireless signal in my house in certain places)
In fact it seems it is, when it's next to my desktop I get 1 bar on the wifi (desktop is at 75% and has an antenna, so probably interference)

2) OVI (maps needs work, it's not intuitive enough and is laggy)
I tried to use nokia messaging, but even though the website shows n900 as supported, when you try and download the client it says unrecognised device and gives you options of various symbian devices.
Doesn't support OVI contacts sync
OVI store is not live yet for n900

3) contact/calendar sync is for windows only people (or gmail) which is kind of bizarre on this kind of device, but hopefully ldap/egroupware sync will come later.

4) It's too good, I never thought I would experience pain in my thumbs and fingers from using it that much...

Good Points:

1) Browser is pretty damned good, flash is not quite as good as desktop (for youtube) but it's pretty close - a pretty impressive feat.
2) FM transmitter is such a cool feature.
3) General UI interface is fantastic.

Overall this is a serious device, it has a few missing features here and there and a couple of rough edges - but with a device like this it is to be expected.
It's essentially trying to be a device for everything, which is not going to be easy to achieve.
But I've decided already that I will be buying the next device with maemo 6 on it.
If that is going to be "the device" then I am almost scared with what is to come.

A big hat's off and congratulations to everyone involved with this device/OS etc.
(And if Nokia get the problems with their web shop ordering system corrected for next time, I would be even happier)
