One question remains unanswered. What is the actual process of "flashing" the N800? I got the cable, I got the software, but its name ends with .macos . No application will open it, and I can not double click it to open. How does the process work? Do I need to launch the console? The disk doesn't show up on my Mac OS desktop. Bear with me, I am no Linux geek. The moment I bought the N800, I thought it was a consumer device. No one told me you need to know such tedious processes like flashing a device if something goes wrong. Worst of it all, Nokia doesn't have any official support for this problem either.
