It's OK, it looks like you're suffering from the usual culture clash of the proprietary->free software transition. We generally don't tend to install software by grabbing bits from all over the place and installing them individually - everything gets put into one of a few central repositories, then the Application Manager on your device grabs a list of everything that's available, you can browse it all in one place, then when you find something you want you can just install it right there and then. Better, if it relies on any other bits, the software can just automatically pull them in too.
That's how it's supposed to work; the current situation with the emulators is a bit sub-optimal, but hopefully that explains the general principle.
