Remember Nokia are really to blame for all this. They are the ones who said it would be available in September.
I imagine Nokia told MPD this too and as a result MPD took it on "good faith" and started to take orders.
Of course Nokia decided to frequently delay the "launch" date of the N900 and now an enormous back-log of orders and peed-off customers are the result of this mess.

MPD are not entirely "blameless" on this - bad communication (we have the Internet for god's sake!) and not shipping on a "first-come first-served" basis makes the situation even worse.

I had worked in retail many years ago and badly organised suppliers constantly did this to us. Our customers were quite rightly peed-off as a result.

If anything my anger and frustration is with Nokia.

I hate to say this but a few of us may not get a N900 before Christmas!

I know MPD have said they will get all pre-orders out by Friday(?) but they have probably been promised stock by Nokia. If Nokia actually delivers remains to be seen.
