I have a second wave N900 and i really truly have no major problems

1) never had a issue with the mic
2) never had the phone restart on me
3) no weird auto calls or such
4) GPS picks up signal fine and even better with AGPS

A few issues i've had are the following
1) gmail IMAP takes forever to load (i just use gmail in the browser now)
2) during a phonecall, if it goes from 3g to 2g the call hangs then drops.
3) after i restart the phone, volume status changes ie. if i set the earpiece to max volume and the speaker to max volume it goes back to halfway after the restart.


Besides these issues the phone has been perfect. no real major bugs that were reported with some of the other N900 out there.
