I'm very baffled as to why they chose a low quality camera, if they wacked on at least a 1.2 MP or 2MP with autofocus that with highly improve the package and shouldn't increase the RRP.

Also the camera is positioned in an akward position, anyone who is a webcammer knows the middle is usually the best position and also have it "mirrored" so people dont see you the wrong way round.
Well, I never expected this device or a cell phone for that matter to replace a proper camera. In fact, in the 2 + years that I have had a camera on my phone... I've used it maybe 3 or 4 times.
When I did use it, it was more than likely to summon someone with a proper camera (via email) to record an event such as property damage, etc.; or to show what tools were required.
On the N800 this feature shows promise in that someone who carries one could record a spur of the moment event that could affect an events outcome. (think Rodney King).

Baby steps I suppose...
Perhaps this feature can promote additional apps such as streaming motion from the device. The small file size may make it easy to email other, MMS enabled mobile devices as well.
