You don't have to hold the function key - pressing once will set it on for the next key pressed. Ditto for the shift key - the Ctrl key seems to need to be held though.
Thanks for that - it helps immensely. I did not think it would so I didn't try it, although I did expect the shift key would work that way. Don't ask me about how the mind works.
