I think the point is, if you are comparing functionality you can only get by jailbraking on the iphone (I have a JB touch, do I win a cookie?) running the 3rd generation version of the software on the 2.5gen hardware from apple, vs the out of the box openness of the 1st gen software and hardware from Nokia about 4 weeks after its release, you're going to find some aspects that are more polished on the iPhone. However, you've already admitted it is critically flawed since you have to illegally jailbreak it, and you're displaying amnesia over the preceding couple of years... after all cut & paste *just* made it to the iPhone, which many people felt was a critical flaw.

I'm glad the OP found his bliss... I also like the iPod Touch as a media player, and likely will keep using mine until the media playing software improves on the n900. I don't think that will take much time though. We also need to get the kindel folks to make a reader, the much better screen on the n900 would be fantastic for books.

Anyway, it's a dinosaur. A wide-open, powerful, delightfully unlocked dinosaur.
