as far as i understand it, it's not about "a file" you would need to download. the problem is the API-key within this file. the API-key doesn't identify you as a user, it identifies the developer who wrote the application. because accessing last.fm from your N900 violates their terms of use, the author of the application asks you not to change vagalume in a way so that it could access last.fm. doing so will result in last.fm banning his key... and all vagalume versions that run on real tablets and can still access last.fm. so the proper way to do it is apply for your own API-key, modify vagalume and wait till you get banned.
