Hi.

I cannot not use a forward slash '/' on the keyboard in dosbox, nor the colon come to that ':'

It will not let me paste either.

I have used 'vi' in xterm, pasted the autoexec command, but cannot save the file.

'w' or 'wq' does not seem to work.

Any ideas?

:wq does work however in command mode.

I am an idiot.

However, even though I have pasted and saved the following

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
mount c /data/dosbox
c:

dosbox still fires up with z: as its default dir.

Dammit!
