Here's how Smugmug transfer works... It sends an email to [username]@email.smugmug.com with user's password as topic and image/video as attachment.
Shouldn't be too hard to make an application like this, but as I can't code one single line for Maemo, it's quite obvious I can't make this kind of application. Here's a link to Smugmug API too, if someone is interested and this helps: http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/API.

Better yet, why not make an application that could share images to a lot more services too, like Photobucket?

Have you tried PixelPipe? There is a video on YouTube too.
