Anyway, the problem is with general attitude on these forums not the phone itself. The device has lots of issues that have been pointed out over and over again and yet some posters insist that their devices work as advertised and that we should sell the phones because they are not for us. I guess Nokia made this phone for the 5 people who are worthy enough to be on this forum? What kinda geeky and idiotic attitude is that...

I couldn't care less about anyone's contributions here and you know why?

- because bluetooth doesn't work at the same time as wifi
- because I don't know what number a contact called me from
- because my music sounds crappy every day because there is no equalizer
- because the phone app switches between portrait/landscape like a maniac when I take the phone away from my ear to look at the screen
- because the widgets provided basically do nothing
- because it takes me 5 minutes to actually read an email on the phone
- because sometimes the phone fails to reacquire signal for like 10 mins

I think the future is very clear and doubt there is any debate over that:

- App stores
- Professionally developed, paid for apps
- Excellent user experience

This is where everyone else is headed and Nokia is getting on board as well. The days where it was exciting to simply RD to your home computer was cool are gone forever. Nowadays it has to be possible and work perfectly. Not only that but it has to be aesthetically pleasing as well. It doesn't matter what command line tool you might have ported or might be working perfectly. We're not in the 80's. If you guys don't get that then you have lost touch with reality.
I understand (and agree with) many of the points you are making here. However, all the evidence points to the fact that, at this point in time in the early life of the N900, this isn't the device for you. If I didn't love my N900, I would sell it and move on - what's the point of *****ing about it on a forum? Enter bug/feature requests and wait. You could easily recoup, or come close to recouping, what you paid for it, I'm sure.

I would love to hear from you why you continue to be a martyr and nuisance. What drives you (and others) to continuously post on forums when everyone has begged you to the sell phone and move on (or back) to an iPhone. Please explain this to me, as I can't fathom wasting this much of my life complaining about a piece of electronics.
