Yeah the problem with that is HangLoose is all you need is 3 jerks that don't like your phone to go through and "dislike" everyone that posts a Pro for your device.

People do tend to suck, unfortunately. I don't know how engadget works, but something like what you said could maybe work if like: A) You required X amount of "thanked" posts before you get a "dislike" vote... B) You get a very limited number of "dislikes" per period.. C) some other limiting factor that someone comes up with.
