Oh dear... you see, that's the general issue we have with Maemo: Some of the built-in applications aren't all that bad and I would continue to use them even if there were alternatives - but then there's these out-of-this-planet decisions they sometimes make. In one of the comments they say they had it technically working but intentionally disabled it for "privacy concerns", therefore it's wontfix now. What can you say as a user? You can vote for a closed bug as an act of defiance, but that's about all. Brainstorm wouldn't help, either, because it's that they don't know what to do or how to do it... they know how but don't want to.
