Have you run Hermes again? Or are you saying all the web page info and pictures added by Hermes and the pictures you've added manually outside Hermes have disappeared?

If so, this sounds like a very odd bug in the Maemo address book API (libabook). Can you export one of the contacts which was affected as a vCard, anonymise it as you see fit and post it for inspection?
