Well when this whole optificraption came up a few months ago I did suggest this as an alternative on maemo-devel. Suffice it to say I got the response of: why would you as a user care about it.

I'm guessing even if you put everything on the 32gb one you would still need to make it boot from there. Not sure if it could be done effectively.

I guess one would need an initramfs to get the mmc_block module in. Or just build it in.
