isnt MCE a windows naming convention? do you refer to MythTV or some other Home Theater PC software? do you have links or details about Linux MCE?

if you do refer to MythTV, the MythWeb plugin can be used easily with a n800.

just googled it, and i doubt the n800 will be of value, for complete control anyway, as it has no IR port, so it cant control tvs and the likes that use IR remotes. i think RF would be out too, as the n800 cannot broadcast radio, just tune to FM.
