Hi. New member here. I'm trying to figure out the N900 I got last week, and I find this forum very helpful, if a tad defensive about the N900's flaws. The device is far below expectations, so I may not be here long. I find it amusing that the standard defense on this site appears to be:" but it's not a smartphone, it's an internet tablet." For an internet-specific device, the N900's browser is very slow, it is more difficult to navigate even this maemo community page on the N900 than on my e71, and the there is massive lag when I try to play flash video from websites. It is obvious that so many of the lessons learned in Symbian over the years have somehow been lost in designing this phone and OS. Nokia should be embarrassed (and it's sagging share price shows that embarrassment) to have launched such a half-baked product. The innovation graveyard is littered with products that developers found cool, and the consumer found idiotic. The N900 appears to be headed that way. If you make me a decent offer for my N900, I'll ship it to you and buy a real phone/internet device .
