i dont know about you but i work in the electronics industry and to create the pcb and bga's and have them placed is a very costly process, the rest of the smt is pretty cheap but the technology needed to produce this on a mass production level is in the range of milliions they have to rake back money some how for this device. processors are not cheap to build and as they are bought from another company and not built in house well what can i say? speaks for itself! a dsp bga can cost anythin up to £1000! this is just the pcb build nevermind the screen, case and software. the wages of all employees? tbh this ammount of tech for £500 is very competitive!
