It's not just 3G internet connection but staying in 3G coverage with 3G enabled in settings drains my battery in few hours. Now I have GSM only mode, I'll see what happen under 3G now (I'm 5 hundred meters from 3G coverage according map ).

So yes - applet that allows quick 3G/2G would be nice, going to check applet programming guide ;-)
