I can tell by your replies, though, that something isn't clicking. But maybe that is MY fault and again, I'm not gonna argue.

However, I'd love to see at least one example of where there really was a simple, effective solution to trolling or spamming, especially ignoring being that simple solution. I just have not once seen it actually work. I have, however, seen persistent thread deletion and banning ultimately succeed-- despite the usual resilience of offenders. Sooner or later the work/reward ratio doesn't cut it and they find another haunt.

I've seen thread refactoring work, too... until someone naively resurrects the original "point"...
