Have the same issues too, MSN seems to connect fine,
but ICQ AND Yahoo doesn't work for me.
I also can't seem to get the notifier to install either...

Tried every available option that I could think of
but still no progress in connecting.

Really like Pidgin ( the part that works) so hope this will be fixed soon !
