I can't believe that someone from a customers perspective says something like that. I really hate non-communication, not only in the IT. Why do so many companies believe, just shutting everything down when a problem occurs and waiting until the dust has settled will make anyone happier? Especially why do customers want to be treated like this? I had no problem with it when Nokia would say sorry, we were to drunk after our x-mas party so the firmware update will be released in January. No problem with that. But if Nokia already knows that they can't make it this year, they still have the chance, than why the hell should the community still speculate wether it will be released this year? This is not really user-friendly.
Apart from that, the people that are ranting about the delay will rant whatever will be communicated, but the vast majority would probably appreciate any information given. Just doing nothing in fear of someone will be talking negative about it is no solution.

Are you kidding me?), so are the release dates. No-one from the company officially says anything, so there is nothing to moan about by the ******s in the community, on the contrary, every release is mass hysteria, also conducted mostly by ******s, by the way.
The criticism is not about Nokia being worse than their competitors, but about not using the chance of real openness, same as google with android by the way. And Nokia is contributing to a lot of open-source projects, so open communication, release early, release often and discussing even strategic dicissions in public should not be unknown to them. Would have been a great chance to bring such values to the smartphone market.

And I really hate it when such chances are wasted.
