From where does this sense of entitlement and lack of patience come from? I really can't understand...and I'm not an old fart preaching how good the old times were, in fact I'm rather young (in my (very) late twenties)...

Can't you lot just sit back, relax, and rejoice of what you already have at hand? Furthermore it's supposed to be a holiday season, so it's an additional reason to not get worked up on such silly matters (even though you may have spent a lot of money on the device, but it's very often like that when you are the first in the line!).
