Very odd that a reflash hasn't seemed to help. Certainly wont hurt to attempt another. I'm unsure here, but does Maemo give you the option to do either a soft reset, and also a full, back to factory stock OS reset? I know with windows I have the option for either, the latter been what I would generally do with major issues, like this for instance.
