My current plan gives me 3000 free SMS/MMS within my provider (a *lot* of my friends and relatives are on the same carrier) and ~0.06€ per SMS and ~0.15€ per MMS to everyone else, so it's not really expensive for me ;-)

Problem with fMMS? Run in x-terminal: cp /tmp/fmms.log /home/user/MyDocs/
After that you'll see fmms.log in filemanager or when you connect the device to your desktop as a mass storage device.
