Well, that depends on your operator and package. If you are on pay-as-you-go (as Granny is) an MMs costs about 50p, whereas data is a minimum of £1/day. And it costs nothing to receive an MMS, whereas data costs to both send and receive.

I personally recieve about 5 MMS a year, and I think I sent 2 in the last year or so. So it's not a huge feature for me... you know why? The person I would most want to send to has an MMS capable phone, but never enabled the receiving on her pay-as-you-go because she doesn't know how to use it. She would never, ever in a million years, enable data on her phone.

I find I wonder about the company people here keep. I have a data plen. I have a fancy phone. But I also have friends and family who use basic candy bars without data. Am I the only one who keep company with 'normal' people?

MMS is not used anything as much as SMS. But it is used. And for those odd occasions, it's missed.

(and to the person who told me to call my Granny... not even Skjype reaches where she is now. )
