Start the X-Terminal application, whose icon looks a bit like a dollar sign, then type in the command followed by pressing the Enter key. It's really that simple.
If you're typing something told to you by someone else, and you don't understand shell commands, be careful to type
exactly
the same command, including punctuation characters like '.' (dot), '/', '\', ';', '$' and '|' (vertical bar; called "pipe" in unix), quote marks like double quote, single quote and backquote, and spaces in the same places. By the way, single quote is on the keyboard and is not the same as the forward quote on the 'Sym' keyboard pop.
Close the X-Terminal application when you're done. Have a nice day
