True. Laws in my country set the maximum power of consumer FM transmitters pretty low. I don't believe even the best available transmitters can fully overpower radio stations here.

This might be part of the problem with Nokia, they do have to sell N900 globally. The frequency area of N900 is smaller than allowed here though. I am under impression that the chip on N900 could support a wider range.
