My guess is that since Nokia is also finally moving from feature phone => software platform, we will be getting more updates. Time will tell.

I am also waiting with interest what kind of commercial apps we will be getting on such an open platform. I mean Windows comes with all kinds of crap but I think most people replace much of that with 3rd party functionality like VLC, photoshop, Open Office, Thunderbird, Firefox etc...
