No. It's the way specific hardware is interacting with the linux kernel. The kernel is what needs to be fixed and increase the tolerance levels. Which, if what I read in the this thread is correct, they've done.

This mean when the FW update comes out, if they've incorporated the new kernel patch, then your reboot issues should magically disappear. No need to exchange N900's.
