Yes. I think instead default flat level, current tilting angle in use should be considered and calibrated zero. So it would be every time a bit different angle after startin motion scrolling.

Instead of launch button to start motion scrolling, proximity sensor could be used. Consequently, handling of operation would work also when hardware keyboard is closed.
