Yep, already installed the one with dual mode. Works nicely!

Sat down in couch, switched from wlan to packet data, 2g -> dual mode, opened gpodder and podcasts came down 600kbytes/sec 3.5g speeds, went to kitchen and speed dropped to about 10kbytes/sec on 3g/3.5g, phone switched to 2.5g by itself shortly after, and speed improved to 25kbyte/s, worked just the way I wanted it

And back to 2g only for the powersaving goodness after podcast downloads were completed (in the couch with the nice signal, of course)...
