Oh, and, your second comma is superfluous. Also, "ya" is slang. Finally, correcting a foreigner at your native language is like picking a fight with a three year old. How well can you spell in other languages?
Anyway, back on topic, I think that the pink icon is there for a reason - not to show birthday but to point out the source of the entry. Namely, it's from the contacts database not from the normal appointment list.
I do agree, however, with something close. Say, a blue cake? What impact would a theme have?
