Thanks for the info.
I know people have tethered the N900 to other phones, but one problem is that the blackberries do not offer bluetooth PAN I believe.
They only offer DUN.
I followed this guide for ubuntu 9.10:

A few things needed to be changed in order to work with my Blackberry 9000 Bold and Rogers.
I also had to pair from the Blackberry -> Ubuntu, as I was having problems doing it the other way around.
Anyways, this was using Ubuntu 9.10 with bluez 4.51 .
There are obviously some other aspects to consider, the Blackberry Bolds battery life is already pretty bad, I can't imagine 3G+Bluetooth on with DUN is going to do it any good.
It is also possible to make phone calls from the bluetooth client to host, so it could be possible to create some kind of basic app so you can use the N900 100% of the time and keep your other $500 phone in a bag or something lol.
