And also, its not as if Nokia would just drop support for the OS as soon as the new model comes out. .. Even my old e61i got updated until few months ago when I decided to stop checking. Nokia, differently than Apple, actually release their OS updates for free. And also, differently than Apple, lets say that for some weird reason they would not release it to n900. You can actually use your device with the port, as the up post mentioned. Not all companies let you have their new OS for free(Apple, MS anyone?!) And they are thinking about this possibility of porting or not... Believe me.
