I was pleasantly surprised with the headphones, actually.

Admittedly I had low expectations as these things are generally terrible, but I didn't find the bass missing or the treble too offensive. They compare favourably with the cheap-ish Sony ones I have here (I don't spend much on them as I break them easily) and I hadn't noticed them being too tinny.

The sound isn't as good as my iRiver, for example, but if the Media Player gains an EQ at some point I think it'll be possible to iron out the gaps.
