Any USB data cable with the correct end will suffice. Or at least it did with mine.

I also found that I needed to pack the SD card in my internal slot with a piece of folded up paper. I think that it moved about fractionally when carrying it in my pockets, and momentarily broke contact, thus upsetting the virtual memory I had setup on the card.
