I plug the N900 in and I get a (Windows XP) balloon in the taskbar telling me "This device works better when connected to a USB2 port - click here for a list of available ports".

Well, I don't even think my PC has any USB1 ports. I've never gotten a notice like this before with any USB device.

I did try to plug the unit into both the back and front USB ports, and got the same message each time.

I'm not even sure if the data is moving at USB1 or 2 speeds. I kind of feel the transfer is slower than on other devices? But I don't have that much to compare it to, other than external HDD's, and I've always felt that SD RAM loads slower than platter drives.

Is this "not finding a USB2 port" a known bug, or perhaps something unique to my system? Or maybe I haven't installed USB support for my N900 correctly?

Thanks for the help.
