I wouldn't tell you to not text and drive, but many police authorities in states will tell you, based on their laws. Are your texts that important to risk the lives of others on the road? If so, why not just get a bluetooth enabled device to just "talk" to the person, given the urgency and importance of your communication.

As an avid road cyclist, who has been hit by a car despite safe cycling practices and following local law, and also knows many others who have been hit by cars while on their bikes, its a shame hearing that people take this attitude.

As for Android, coming from a Droid, and still frequenting the Droid/Android forums, you're in for a whole other world of issues...more so than the 900.
