I never had the issue, and had an hour long call to a landline in the US, following the update. No issues (FWIW I'm a VoIP engineer...I tend to pay attention to call quality).

For those having the issue, are your calls being made thru 3G or 2/2.5G? Also, does it happen when calling other cell phones, or to land lines as well.
