The Notes editor doesn't provide access to anything that isn't in your /home/user folder. I suggest you install emelFM2, a file manager, which gives full access to all files on the tablet. It also has an edit function. To access the repositories for any application go to http://www.gronmayer.com/it/index.php in microb, search by application name and hit the install arrow for the repository you want. From then on applications in installed repositories can be installed with the Application Manager. Another edit only choice would be nano.
